Thursday Night January 14, 2016 vs. The Norfolk Admirals
ELMIRA, NY - January 14, 2016 - The Jackals jumped ahead early with the game's opening strike less than three minutes in, but faltered in the final forty minutes and fell 4-1 to the Norfolk Admirals. Nathan Oystrick scored the lone Jackals goal.

Entering tonight the Jackals had lost three in a row for the first time all season and needed a jump start offensively. The call came from the captain just 2:59 into play as Nathan Oystrick joined the rush and buried his third goal of the season to give the Jackals an early lead. Kevin Clare started the play with a feed to Mike Seidel who entered the offensive zone and played a pass across the ice to Chris Langkow who eyed Oystrick streaking in from behind for the one-time strike.
However, the Admirals steadied the ship in the second period and struck twice while firing 20 shots on target. First, Greg Chase popped in a feed in the slot off a pass from Steven Whitney on the goal line for his fifth goal of the season just 1:33 into the middle stanza. Then, at 4:57, on the power-play Scott Allen jammed home his ninth goal of the season assisted by Alexis Loiseau and Nick Pageau.
Norfolk carried the lead into the third period and added to it at the 8:12 mark when Greg Chase tipped in a pass from Charles-Olivier Roussel for his second goal of the night and sixth of the season. Chase added to his performance with a shot off the mask of C.J. Motte which landed in the slot for Steven Whitney to put in for his ninth goal of the season at 16:27 sealing the victory for the Admirals.
C.J. Motte stopped 35 of 39 shots faced but was handed the loss. Ty Rimmer stopped 25 of 26 shots faced for the win.
